The colour has drained from the hills I held so dear to my heart. Ashes sweep the land, a world of black and white. A tree has fallen in the forest, stripped of leaves, long since burnt away. I climb though the upturned roots and take shelter in the hollow. When sleep finally comes, I dream of a world made anew.
